Site downtime - server move

Over the next few days or so we shall be slowly moving the accounts off the server were currently on in yanksville tennesse over to london town (get down)

Unfortunately were looking at a total of around 50gig of accounts that need to be packed up, lobbed over the pond and extracted/dried off and installed at the other end

Were going to keep the downtime to a minimum and @ non peak times but please expect it to be up n down like a cheap ho's scanties

Il reply to this thread when i know of future times that it will be down, the first perioid of downtime will be:

Tonight (Thursday) from just after midnight most likely till Friday morning

OSA Radio won't be affected as thats on a diff server int it?

Might be an idea to get folks who are playing ont radio to stick in their MSN's the url for the station/port etc, so people can copy n paste it if the site is down and wang it into winamp

were gonna try our best to not have the downtime around the peak hours jamsicle. itl b late nights n earlier mornings that are prolly gonna b most affected although it depends how quick each account takes as to the amount and length of down time'age.

we tried moving tuneid over yesterday morning, it tw@tted the processor that much that it give up the ghost lol

but yeah the radio wont be affected as its not on this server. hopefully we wont be affecting the radio times anyways

the bits we are moving over from last night are still transerring, this may mean that it could be up and down today im afraid dependant on how long it takes.

weve finally got sorted with the move now. apologies for the lengthage of the downtime. weve had to move it all over manually which has took aaaages as the sites so big. were now on our own dedicated box and based in the uk so ya should notice the speed difference a bit.

massive respect to aidan who has battled like a bar steward the past week with it
