On the subject of tunes with great bass, does anyone know the name of the tune that Roxanne Shante sampled in "Live on stage" i remember it back in the day but ive never come across it since.

Toni Scott's voice was pure bass, i was surprised when i first saw a picture of him, expected the guy to be a 7ft black geezer rather than a rather miniscule looking red Indian....great sound...

Booker T & The MG's 'Melting Pot' was sampled in the Hip Hop Version ..is that the one you mean?

Yes thats the one....YouTube - "Melting Pot" by Booker T. & The MG's....does anyone know the name of the house version in which that riff was sampled, it was from 88-89, i vaguely remember some chik saying 'te-queiro' in it
