we watched this when it was on tele the other week

SoulBoy

good soundtrack, quite enjoyed it :D

I've held of watching this for ages after reading the negative reviews on IMDB, but I watched this earlier and thought it was brilliant:thumbsup:

Yep, they might have taken a few liberties (especially near the end) which spoilt it a bit for some of those who were there (and I wasn't old enough although I know a few who did go), but still, I felt they did a cracking job and I even felt a bit of a tingle of excitement as they rolled up to the Casino and waited for it to open.

Reminded me of the excitement I used to feel waiting in the queues for the clubs to open back in the day:love:

Oh yes..

Bernie (2011) - IMDb

This is a must watch imo, Jack Black is incredible in this. Its not a comedy as such but does have its moments, based on a true story. Heartwarming, sad, happy, Jack shows his acting skills in a completely different side of him that Ive never seen before.

>>In small-town Texas, the local mortician strikes up a friendship with a wealthy widow, though when he kills her, he goes to great lengths to create the illusion that she's alive.

Chained (2012) - IMDb

Bob, a cab-driving serial killer who stalks his prey on the city streets alongside his reluctant protégé Tim, who must make a life or death choice between following in Bob's footsteps or breaking free from his captor.

Dark and twisted

watched a few movies recently really enjoyed this Ill Manors (2012) - IMDb if you can cope with the innit bruv lingo  but its pretty hard hitting.

also watched this which was also very good People Like Us (2012) - IMDb

watched Ted (2012) - IMDb and wasn't impressed, its not much more than a swearing teddy which wears a bit thin after a while.

these two are also pretty good. Seeking a Friend for the End of the World (2012) - IMDb and Safety Not Guaranteed (2012) - IMDb

and End of Watch (2012) - IMDb is quality too.

Sinister (2012) - IMDb

>>
A true-crime writer finds a cache of 8mm "snuff" films that suggest the murder he is currently researching is the work of a serial killer whose career dates back to the 1960s.
<<

Cracking horror, a serial killer, or is it? A Ghost story, a pagan demon deity named the ghoul (the child stealer in Babylonian times) Whats not to like??

Good jumpy bits and an original take on the 'haunting' genre of horror.

Well worth a watch:thumbsup:

Watched Keith Lemon: The Film (2012) - IMDb recently. It's daft, it's crude, it's funny and you know exactly what to expect, if you watch Celebrity Juice, which is why i'm surprised the score is as low is it is on IMDB. That said, the story is terrible, it's often unfunny to the point of ridiculous and i'm not sure i'll ever want to watch it again, but i'm glad i've watched it once.

Just watched Les Miserables and it was magnifique

Very moving story with a brilliant cast, music and songs to tell it. I was crying throughout (well 4 or 5 times) at some of the most moving moments, so not one to watch with other blokes :$

10/10 from me. It's up there with Shawshank

Was really looking forward to this movie. Seen the musical in our bigass national opera and it just blowed me mind. Good music, brilliant story and magical mood the act was creating.

Will deffo check any time soon. Cheers
