The broadcasts from Ibiza have taken place every summer since the first Essential Mix live broadcast from Amnesia. The first ever Essential Mix from Ibiza came in the summer of 1995 Ibiza as a pre-recorded broadcast of Nicky Holloway playing live at Ku on 2 July 1995.

I'm pretty sure it isn't an Essential Mix because there's no crappy Radio 1 jingles, but I suppose it could be. I haven't listened right through since I ripped it, but off the top of my head, the only tunes I recognise are:

Everything but the Girl - Missing

Thanks dick. Just to confirm, as this thread has got a bit confusing, you're talking about the mix I've uploaded, not the ones that pepper or jackdboy are referring to?
Cream is currently at Amnesia and has been since 96. Their first full season in Ibiza was at Ku in 95 (except it wasn't really at Ku at all because it changed it's name to Privilege in 1991)
hey i just thought id put my wee bit in...
the club was KU till aprox 1997/98... the swimming pool still has KU tiled at the bottom...(i was in it often enough) i have the essential mix from 95 posted in here in the archive if you search..i was at the recording of it..happened on a monday but went out on the radio on the saturday. just thought id say
