I've got a Canon IXY Digital 500 with spare battery for £100 if you don't wanna buy a new camera like - gonna put it on eBay in Jan anyway, just thought I'd plug it here :p

Nice camera, easy to use. Has a few tiny marks where its been in pocket and caught keys etc - otherwise excellent condition. (also inc 512MB card worth £27)

Canon Powershots, and canons in general are usually pretty good. Depends what you want to do with them really.

not a camera buff jack but my dad swears by the Canon Ixus models, like people have already mentioned they probably best for around the price range your looking at,my dads one of those who will read up on something for a month or two before actually buying the item so they must be ok lol

Digital cameras review low prices, best buy Digital cameras online for cheap

try this site pixmania well cheap and you will be spoilt for choice.

always go for a camera that has a lithium rechargable battery, they last a hell of a lot longer. try go for the highest optical zoom you can get, digital zoom is rubbish and not as clear.

canon are superb as are pentax, I had an olympus Muji ! looked the part was tiny but was so poor lots of shutter lag, stay well clear, had send mine back.

Agree with you there Tim.

Canon Ixus 70 is a damn fine snapper, with a pretty good video function especially when armed with a 16GB SDHC memory card!

Not used the Ixus 70, but I have the 960. Functions are gonna be pretty much the same I guess, although the 960's top trump card is the image stabilizer, which is handy when the light is a bit dim.

Admittedly it's a bit over £100 but it's not all that expensive. Here's a couple of snaps:
