Looking at the list there seems to be one or two commerial tracks in there, stuff which have ended up being labelled as shit these days. Not saying its right or wrong, but it gives an indication of how peoples perceptions / attitudes have changed. And theres plenty of examples of this on this board, if you read some of the posts from some people on here from 4-5 years ago where they talked about certain tunes which you'd never here them talking about now because theyve become 'more cultured' now or somat. Again, not saying this is wrong, just fact.

you'll see I put jinny - keep warm in my top 25 because it was massive for me in 1991 but I get slated for it in 2007 cause its not cool :D

fair play to you sticking it in too, i read ur post where you said it still held memories and tis top tune imo too, just pointing out that more and more tend to dis-associate themselves with a tune if went commercial.. :D

There's alot of my faves in there tbh, perhaps more so than the OSA 100. My attitudes towards tunes i once liked and can no longer listen to is wholly down to me becoming tired of hearing them..NJOI-Anthem, K-Klass-Rhythm Is A Mystery, Bros In Rhythm-Such a Good Feeling and Parra dice being prime examples. I think this is the same for alot of people too

fair enough too Ed. I was just stating why i thought there were differences between the lists, wasnt trying to say it was right or wrong to have changing tastes for whatever reasons.

Used to buy regular 1990 - 92 :D Was great to see how rave crept into the articles / tune reviews too :D I distinctly remember a review for Up Side - except they called em Carter & French rather than Sy Kick :D

Under the Influence - How This List Was Made
Muzik wanted to define the records that had shaped the music we love today. The music that made Basement Jaxx, The Chemical Brothers, Roni Size and System F all possible.
