    In the last 7 years Villa / Man U have been drawn together 4 times... & the year that Man U acted like flouncy primma donnas & withdrew their place went to Darlington.... & who did Villa get drawn against... Darlington...

    hmm i remember voices from old trafford saying they did not want to give up the FA cup, and it was a higher power that sent them in another tournament.

    the rumours were that United were "pressured" into it by the government in order to help raise the profile of the Olympics/Commonwealth games bid that was going on at the time.
