for a ganeral clean, if you use a soapy soultion with luke warm water, i cannot advise using a mf cloth enuff (micro fibre) it cuts into the grooves, and whilst flipping or turning the cloth around, stops unwanted filth getting back into the grooves.

have to admit here,just got a tune from spain that was very bad poping,hissing even skipping
i tried the luke warm water and fairy liquid then dried it on a fluffy towel and its like a new record,quite amazed i am
