Before i start may i say sorry to the dj's and promoters for what i am about to comment on because its not your fault. SHITE from start to finish, we got in about 9.30 and all night there wasn't more than 10 people on the dancefloor, atmos was low, loads of blackpool idiots trying to cause trouble with us, which ended up in my mates getting thrown out about 1ish for defending themselves.plus the pills we had were to trippy to enjoy... on the up-side of things ,music and dj's were fab as was Irie, and a few off this site(Jo:love:(will u marry me?) Dom&jude(nice t-shirt) Gazfrompreston and a couple more eads i noticed from the bowlers reunion and the worx v goodtimes night).Sorry if i offended anyone by this review, but it had to be said.:(

Roll on da next one  tunes of the night for me were.. Mental Cube - Q (played by John J) & Elevation 4th - Walking (played by Barrie) & DOP - Here I Go (played by Chris)

Despite the unexpectedly low turnout I though we had the right type of crowd and it was a good atmosphere.

Myself and John played 4 hours completely unrehearsed (so sorry for a few ropey mixes errhumm) and I also enjoyed Andrew Dean and Chris Bakers slightly more progressive set - this is actually how we used to play it back in the day.

Many thanks to the OSA lot that did turn out - good to see you all again, especially SJ  and a few others I have not met before.

As for the dance floor having not more than ten people on all night - what utter bollox. I am sorry ceejay that you did not enjoy the night but do not post crap that simply is not true.

Was tempted to attend this one just for old times sake and the fact i have not been out to that kind of night in over 12 years. Sadly due to work i couldn't attend but hope they will do something similar in the future. Barrie, are most of the crowd youngsters or do you recognise faces from jenks?

Alfie, there are not that many old `zoneheads` turn up at these events - you get the odd few Blackpool people that turn up who I haven`t seen for years but they don`t attract a young crowd.

Quite the opposite really, we usually get a really good up for it lot - most of the peeps from OSA certainly are anyway.

Doing nothing next Friday ?

Pop in and say hello !

was a nice chilled trip up to Blackpool with vert little stress arsing about and being late etc... which made a nice change :) LOL
Hotel weren't bad atall; top of the range amusments and activities (dart board and 1980's style fruit machine :))
Got to the club about 10ish I think, had pretty high hopes of it being a busy night, but a dissapointing turn out I though...
....still...a decent crowd (apart from that little arse hole that kept booting stools over :) LOL)and the usuall OSAers . Top tunes and a nice atmostphere.
..Back to the hotel (only us lot in it;) ) so was mad as ken :)
must have been right off it beacause I only have bits of memories of being in Zac and Grmma's room all waffling utter madness, pulling bits off the snide shandleer thing LOL :)
Outta the hotel and onto the pleasure beach, went on the Big One smashed (scary but ace :)) trecked about fro a bit, had a few pints and then went back to Manchester..

Everyone boozed through Saturday while Dannster and Gaz played the Harmonica (think it were veronica's  ) were daft as f*ck LOL :)
"there once was a girl in the woods... she looked like little red riding hood" :D
Butty and sonia came up for round two and we all ended up playing the
"One Word Game" complete with 'Cousion bonuses', snake bites and feck know what else LOL ;) wish we had it on video :)
Ace weekend!! well done to all involved, all on top topform :) complete madness ...ha ha. Only wish i'd have had a sleep inbetween :(
Have a good'n next weekend everyone!

.........

Well I've only got round to being arse to log onto the WWW so here goes.......

First of all I second Barries response to CEEJAYs comments about not being more than 10 people on the dancefloor all night........utter bollocks.

It was quiet and yes it was a shame but it didn't stop me and our crowd from having a crackin night....the music was quality all night.....a lot I cant remember from talkin and carrying on but th DJ's did excellent especially Barrie and John......

But the best thing was we had such a laugh.....laughing with Chris Baker, Chris Angels, SJ, Andrew Dean all night.......

Oh yes and VA.....another good gabble with you about "That" tune ID.....

But seriously though I have never laughed so much in a club EVER !

There were some nobheads in there and someone who was with us got a beatin.........fuck knows wot for but he got kicked out..

Anyway big shout to all :-

Barrie, Debby, Phil, Deany, John J, Bakerman, Chris Angels, SJ, Joanie, SuperDan, Big Sam (lol), Faye, Biskit, Nics.........shit have i missed anyone...

thats probs the most names I've ever remembered..lol

Oh and Salina...............where were ya luv.....you were missed.

Oh and big shout to Scott and Richard.......

A good night allround.....especially when we finally got back to Scotts house........reet carry on

We were having an orlreet night, til whoever it was got a little jealous over my bro and his mate copping off with 2 lovely girls at the bar at the back, he woudn't leave them alone...about 1.30am this nobhead was pushing his head(forcefully) against my mates head, trying to square up to my mate...which resulted him getting a few elbows in the face...i was outside having a ciggy, talking to Dom&jude when it kicked off, had to leave, cos the bouncers would'nt let him back in, sorry if i've upset anyone by my initial comments, but i was still a bit pissed off that stage, OK there might of been a few more than 10 people on the dancefloor, but there was enough bods in the club to fill the dancefloor. Our crew were the 1st on the dancefloor, and even my mate was doin cartwheels on his own to try and wake a few people up. would of loved to stop til the end...John and Barrie played some wicked tuna, didn't get to hear chris's set(met him @ the empire in morcambe years back).
sorry again to the promoters for my initial comments.

ps. i didn't even get to grab any flyers as i was gonna do that at the end of the night.nevr mind.
P.P.S whoever Videoed the event has the fight on tape, so i would appreciate if they could send me a copy, so i can see wha i missed!!

its important to remember that when you ask for feedback you are going to get a true opinion and feeling from each individual.... be that positive or negative..

Ive been to a few of these zone reunions at dna and have always been a tad disappointed. theyre never that busy and the venue is somehow lacking, the atmosphere never really takes off i reckon.

The music at zone is always amazing tho as r the djs its just a shame they cant get a better venue and if they did i reckon more people would turn up. If only they could hold these events back at maximes wigan or even camel club huddersfield or something it would be gr8. When zone was a tmaximes it was immense, gr8 gr8 atmosphere n v.busy. It seems the owners wont do any nites but bouncy house tho now, shame.

If any of the relavant promoters r readin i reckon Zone, Good times, Bowlers reunion should all get to gether and do one mother of a nite in a gr8 venue somewhere easy for peep to get to in the north, would be wicked!!!!:D
