Judge Jules @ Progress, Derby 1995

Judge Jules @ Progress, Derby 1995

Here's another that I just found on one of my old hard drives Jonny, but this is from 1995. That could be why the other was labelled Judge Jules 2? That would make sense. This was probably from the early OOS days, it may even be one of the booty tapes that Nath got from Jim Tang that I have. I'll check.

You will need to private message me for the key to access this mix

Enjoy... HV

No cover, but I knock this up for iTunes artwork:

Yes, but the other mix is from 1994! This is from 1993 bud :eyebrow:

Dont know if he played more than once in 93 ? hence the 94 one being number 2 , just found the 94 tape in a box, its a boot copy and has my mates handwriteing on it , so Im guessing thats where the number 2 came from, he would have copied it off my orig tape and probs made his own title up knowing him

I don't know if you have ever heard this but this mix by Martin Picard but its a Belter of a mix, but my tape has a bit of a technical issue going on so not really fit for ripping. Sound ok on my HI FI but would sound shit in head phones. Its a bit like Sasha stuff from 1994.

In 1989 I was listening to De la soul, public enemy, ice cude, Nwa, knew nothing of house music.

and still at school and only 14.

and at 16 I was listening to hardcore so that would of been 1991 and did not get into house until 1994.

and it only recently I have started listening to hardcore again.

think a lot of us came to house via the hip hop route, in the 1980s hip hop was my world, can remember going to hip hop nights and sitting down when they played early house music, I just didnt get it, then something happened & I started to get it ;)

I had a mate who worked in a record shop, he was into hip hop but had loads of house white labels that he acquired thru the shop, in 1990 I done a huge swap of all my hip hop vinyl for his house vinyl & never looked back ;)

regarding your bangkok tape, a few years back I got an arsey email from one half of chris & james (unsure which one) he'd been on my site & was saying I had music that he "owned" on my site, I thought what a knob & deleted all the chris & james sets off my site & ive never listened to them again :naughty:

Yep same has, came in via the hip hop route, I still love that Mantronix Music Madness 1986 album phones:

Spent a small fortune on hip hop stuff back then, buying imports etc

In late 88 early 89 my mate who was a lot older than me introduced me to raves, and has you say Scott something clicked :fekked:
While all my mates were out trying to get into shit pubs and crap night clubs to get pissed for the first time, I was out all night doing 12hr or more parties :D phones:phones:phones:
