Patchbays

Has anyone got experience of setting one up/using one?

I have a 24 channel mixer and need to connect almost 48 channels of audio

What I've read so far has just confused me.

Any tips welcomed in easy to understand words please

I'd already looked at another link on the sound on sound site, but instead of make it clear, it left me more confused!

I've had a re-think due to cost, and instead of buying a patchbay, plus doubling up on leads and short patch leads, I'm going to opt for a sub line mixer to deal with some synth modules that don't need to effected, hopefully that'll do the trick!

Cheers for the link though

Behringer patch bays and snake cables can be picked up quite cheap if cost is an issue ..
