| evolution - promised land ???? i think this has been asked about before: evolution - promised land 4 track e.p anybody got any other info on it?? on the sticker on the sleeve it just says: promised land (in someone's handwriting) the vinyl has the cat.no. DWROL 001 this is also etched into the vinyl on different sides THE DOVES FLY OVER SOUTHPORT BEACH THANKS TO DJ MINICH + ROBIN S. i've been asked about it by someone,the track which was played on zone tape is the one with the 'come on now' vocal sample in, from 'ruffcut-run to me' on italian style. without any proper info i'd say this is probably very very very difficult to track down. cheers marras! mikey      |

| Mikey I've got this w/l dont think it ever got a release, I'm sure its by DJ Roy Silver, sounds like his other stuff... This has got 'take me to the promised land', 2 versions, a track with 'were on the move', and another one that samples the techmno stab from an old Frank de Wulf track - Liasons D, then into piano Top bit o vinyl that one

| The Roy Silver one is the "Emotion EP" but I'm not 100% this is the Evolution one. The Emotion EP doesn't have a cat# anywhere unless it's etched on the vinyl and there's no mention of Evolution anywhere. The only hand written bit is the phone number - the rest of the label is printed, albeit badly. Plus I'm not too sure if it predates Ruffcut's Run To Me - it would certainly be a close run thing. Then again I could be talking out of my arse. |

| Is this Evolution as in 'Came outta nowhere' 'Metropolis' & 'Cover up ep' on Positive Vintl ? If so I might wanna track down this 'un as I love everything on PV.... Also is Evolution on PV the same outfit who released on DeCon ? If so they went sadly downhill IMO.....

| i've visited that site ages ago.in fact i recerded a CD of stuff for the bloke that made the site,just a few old evolution things like 'love thing' etc.i did record that 'promised land' 12" onto a CD in return for some BT remixes,thinking it was evolution! i sent an email to fluid recordings ages ago when they first got their site up and running asking about that release but never got any reply. anyone who's interested in their stuff BTW will appreciate that site as it's got loads of listings by other prog. artists too. thanks for the link skippy i lost it a while back. thanks to everyone else for the info. just one other thing,i did get a reply from evolution a while back re: the 3rd release on fluid (FL003). this was never released and explains why it's missing from roman shirikoff's site (skippy's link). it should have been: andy ling - distant voices (FL003) i heard that from the horses mouth so to speak.just for info in case you're a fluid fan..like me  cheers again! mikey |
