For the record I know the buyer and he did not pay full whack for it.

Anyone who thinks they are gonna be able to sell it for over £400 is dreaming imo.

Basically this person wasnt prepared to wait, knew he was paying alot of money for a record - but he is a serious collector (and fine DJ too ) and as its near Mint with piccy sleeve thought fook it lol

Fair play, its his money which he earnt

Its a supply & demand thing, just like when a new games console comes out before christmas some will be happy to pay top $ to get the goods, knowing that if they wait a little longer they may get it cheaper.

You know how it is - look at poor old Alpha Dy - the 1st few copies went for £200+ now it fetches £30 on ebay

Yeah jack i agree mate,it doesnt just apply to house records,i know people who have payed top dollar for beatles stuff,punk stuff and rock stuff etc.,Jesus i was selling copies of GnR - appetite for destruction for £25 + because of the so called banned cover it displayed,it barely fetches 2 quid now (just using this as an example).Hope your friend enjoys his copy of CAP anyway

Spent a few hours on ebay today & didn't even see it.

I would have paid that for it as well.

I don't go out any more & a decent night out with all the party favours would have cost me a lot more so it's horses for courses IMO

Fair enough, though it's still $200. It's obviously hard to find, but I don't think the quality of the song warrants the price tag. One man's garbage is another man's treasure I suppose...

decent piano tune imo, Mike from legends was selling a coupleof copies on ebay a year or two ago, i was in the bidding, but when it went over 60 notes i dropped out, think they went for about £115, couldnt justify that, but a decent tune netherless

Can't believe there was another one available since, this one sold for less than i paid too, gutted I hate the way Ebay.Co.Uk doesn't pick up on your favourite searches on Ebay.com. I keep missing out on major vinyl but just too lazy to re-add all my favourite searches on Ebay.Com

As for the tune not being worth what i paid i'm not basing it on that. I've bought it because there are not many holes left in my collection and when you get to that stage you are prepared to go that extra step rather than wait possibly another couple of years. I made sure i didnt make the same mistake with Dimension - Say Yeah and bought that at first oppurtunity too. When your seriously into collecting vinyl you don't intend to sell it on so it's easy to get carried away sometimes as once it's in your collection it's there for good

Mate you got a bargain, my better half-lol swapped pretty much all of his zone vinyl for this one tune, he reckons all in all, what he spent in getting the zone tune amounted to 1500 quid!!! WTF there were some top top zone tunes, channel 1, dynatec, maya, jill dreski, the list goes on...Hes like you, not got many to get and wanted/needed it, someone had a mint as fook copy, the piccy sleeve looks like its never been touched-its mint...He has every intention to keep that tune till the day he dies-He said that if its somat you want and its there for taking, if the want in you is bad enough, you will do what ever to get it. Oh yeah and hes trying to get all them zone tunes back now

Bert did you know cap befor osa, cause its a trophy tune imo now , one for the proper italian collectors from back in day, imo its awsome i never new name till va id'd me, had thousands of tapes back in day and the instru mix featured on one of em. id say it never appeard on any of the zone tapes either, the mix i had was alocal dj from sheffield and he played the instru mix thats the mix i knew the vocal mix grew on me though. id defo say its a trophy tune now though. name ya other wants or have they not appeared on anyones wants list's yet i may be able to help ive got summat on OUT thats just about to break might appearing on a osa mix soon, il do it yer for 300 inc special delivery
