a thought about DJ tracklistings

do you think dj's back in the day would have thought 15 years later people where still disecting their mixes and making track lists & hunting down obscure tunes (that they had been given free and only ever played the once???)

don't think so they were just breaking / playing the tune wot were out at the time depending on wot the year was or wot they like you say been given .
don't thing they would think that fifteen or more years down the line that old skool heads or the new dj's playing old skool now are still looking for the choonz they were playing back in the day .

That's about it in a nutshell...I guess as house music was in it's infancy back then, the tunes that have become classics as a result, have become synonomous with the names like Sasha, Carl Cox and whoever else, so as a result I guess people look out for a mix by the well known djs that they might not have heard in the hope of uncovering a gem. In the respect of the oldskool scene, i suppose it is now similar to the current scene in as much as (some djs) are looking to find something from the past that is fresh and fairly unheard of, in the same way upfront djs look for new matrial with little exporsure. Anyway i've strayed well off topic lol...in answer to the original question..No i don't suppose they would. Ed
