2 For Joy - Mainstream EP - holy crap!

I picked up 2 For Joy's Mainstream EP recently (Discogs link), and I always understood it was rare, but this seems a bit insane:

This isn't my auction, I was simply amazed by how much it's already goin for! I guess I didn't think the tracks on it were *THAT* great to warrant such a high price... but what does everyone else think of it?

Totally agree, tracks aint nothing to write home about it's the rarity that gives it its value

I got five offers to take mine OFF ebay, all from spain wierdly Obviously took the best one of 115 quid Did not even know i had it until i checked the cat number of a white on DisCogs

Cheers for the uploads - makes for interesting listening especially given light of the prices.
I wouldn't have paid even £4 for that back in the day. That said, I was never any good at economics.

I can't help think there has to be several thousand tunes better than this that end up in the bargain basements, but what do I know?

TBH i don't like it but Let The Bass Kick is a tune!

It is a bit of an anthem with the old skool hardcore DJs in Spain, who are VERY competitive about rare tunes, usually very obscure ones such as this - a bit like the northern soul DJs used to be over here. It's the B side tune of those rips that they like, and I must admit I quite like it too Not keen on side A, it's not saying a great deal to me.

Its my copy thats on e-bay. Did'nt rate it myself but spanish seem to be goin mad for it!! Had 3 offers of 150euros. Reckon i'll leave it on though cause you know if there offering you that it always sells for more Every so often a tune comes up that don't seem that special & sells for a bomb!! Last one was power circle - garden of peace (got £100 for it) i was gonna lob it away!!
anyone else selling theres i'd wait till this one's ended or it could kill the price of mine & any other copies on there

Like I said, they're very competitive about tunes and will often buy multiple copies of their biggest tunes to stop other DJ's from getting them !! Nutters...

After hearing the clips, youve just informed me I have one of these whites lol.

I actually regard them as good tunes, especially the 'harmony' one. I wouldnt sell it, even for 80 quid.
