Mix of the Day - The Boccaccio - Jan 1989

Boccaccio - Ghent, Belgium - Jan 89 (only 45 min, average quality). DJ is probably Eric Beysens (or Olivier Pieters if not). One of my rarer mixes.

There's one floating about from May 89. This starts with Break 4 Love.

Happy at this time the Boccaccio was playing the same as the UK ,its a bit late, but prior Europe was in a class of their own

This mix isnt anything that the uk wasnt doing the same but please find the 1987-88 stuff Belgium rocked
Still great to hear it though cheers

1988 Star, I got one of Beysens from Nov / Dec 1987 if you want me to up that (Quality ain't good though, maybe someone could edit it). There was also Fat Ronnie wasn't there, had a bit of a (sniff) problem and went to jail at the height of their scene or something.

Cheers for sharing this one. Had a blast at a tracklisting, but didn't know many... thought I was doing rather well up until track 3 lol ..maybe you lot can fill in some of the blanks??

#16 is really doing my head in.. was an unknown on a tape I've had for years but I'm sure it got id'd in the end.. can't remember which tape it was though

1. Raze 'Break 4 Love'
2. Blake Baxter 'When We Used To Play'
3. ??? - "fresh"
4. ??? - poss a mix of Fast Eddie 'Can U Still Dance'??
5. ??? - "15 minutes"
6. ??? - poss a mix of Phuture Pfantasy Club 'Slam'??
7. ??? - "i'm not gonna fuck you" "fuck me"
8. ??? - poss mix of 'Rock To The Beat'
9. ??? - acid with good bassline
10. ???
11. ??? - acid
12. Tyree 'Acid Crash'
13. ??? - "there's acid in the house"
14. ??? - familiar acid
15. Wee Papa Girl Rappers 'Heat It Up' (Acid House Instrumental)
16. ??? - got this on a set I've had years, sounds a bit like Liasons D 'Future FJP'
17. Inner City 'Big Fun'
18. ??? - "forever and a day"
19. Raze 'Break For Love' (Spanish Fly Mix)
20. Tyree 'Acid Over'

Would be interested in hearing the late '87 set ..and could have a go at cleaning it up in Cool Edit.

Eric Beysens (think later he was just known as Eric B / Eric) at the Boccaccio club, late 1987. Noel, I don't know if quality can be improved, blood from a stone and all the rest...

Here you go...

All I've done is remove the hiss & speeded it up a tad as it sounded like the tape had stretched. It seemed to be equalized alright already to me.

Didn't think I'd know many, but had a blast at a tracklisting anyway...

Eric Beysens @ The Boccaccio, Ghent, Belgium, Late '87

1. ??? "walk, dance"
2. ???
3. NT Gang 'Wam Bam'
4. Acts Of Madmen 'The Dream'
5. ???
6. Yello 'Bostich'
7. Bam Bam 'Give It To Me' ..what mix?
8. ??? - "tired of getting pushed around"
9. ???
10. ??? - good tune with Dragnet samples "thank god it's friday"
11. ??? - "what's your name?"
12. ??? - "i wish the wind was cold..."
13. ???
14. ???
15. ???
16. ???
