Well I've got a pair of Sennheisers you can borrow - why not throw a few tunes in a bag and come and have a kick about on Saturday - it's only about an hour from your gaff in Brighton. We could keep it a secret and not tell anyone who you are...

People would be like 'He's pretty hot on the decks isn't he?'

I could even get some Walkers crisps in and, we could pretend you actually were Linaker.

I'll look into the false big ear situation.

Trance clubs, house clubs, garage clubs, breakbeat clubs etc.

I became increasingly bored of the dance music scene around 1999 but managed to see in the millenium before hanging up the headphones and cubase for good!

Awwww come on how about another go ehh????

Respect is due, hate to come across as a brown nose but you guys have always been BIG to me...always wondered what the hell happened to you, its really odd your on here (in a good way hehe) as i was just talking about you to Ian Ossia over the weekend and if he knew what had happened to you?

You have done far too much for me to say which is my fave mix of yours, so many of them get cained at Joy, but the medium high mix has been massive on our dancefloor, lots of folk have caught onto that tune now but its still such a great track.

Anyway, if you wanna make a come back (even if its jus for one gig) then send me a pm or something.

Welcome to the board too

Thanks guys for all the big ups and all but you know how it is.

Good to see loads of Leeds names on here.......I'm Leeds born and bred and cut my clubbing teeth at phonos / the warehouse and the like.

Is Os still Djing? A really good under rated DJ, smoked way too much herb as I recall which people mistook for him being moody!

I gave up - sold all my tunes - the 1210s, the Jamos, The Numark - the lot.
That was 1993 - when I flipped my lid due to far too many self induced insane nights.

Plot loss lasted all of a couple of days - and I suddenly thought...

What have I done?!

It took years, and years, and years, to get those tunes again.

Not too mention a fortune.

My advice is never say never - house music is for life.

He is now resident at my night ( JOY) we have had him as asemi resident for last2 years, he had family problems but is back on the scene now, he has very similar views to yourself re the cup final quote you mentioned earlier hehe, he is a wicked DJ, always been a fave of mine. His latest mix which is coming out is fantastic,he has been doing classic sets so far but he plays new stuff now at joy but will do the odd classics set here and their, (we have 3 rooms and 3 styles of music)
it would have been great to get you on at Joy seen as your a Leeds guy haha, but i do understand your reasons, your the type of DJ i like on at our event!...

BTW he has calmed down on the pot smoking hehe

Also had some great nights at the Gardening Club and believe it or not have actually met you a few times in various clubs (dont stress youd never remember lol). Was wondering if you could spread some light on what become of Lawrence Nelson and Fabio Paras and co. Also Shelly Boswell??

welcome to osa .... look forward to seeing your input on the mad musical discussions we have on here

p.s. i got sent a white lable in 92 or 93 that goes "terms of physical energy" or words to that effect... just has 'DELORME' written in black marker.... was that one of yours?

Well. Holy maholy.

One of my alltime favourites has joined the board . Im not ashamed to say Im excited LOL.

Love the Chris and James stuff, still get a spine tingle on the Club For Life, Rhymes like youngs....lol. Wicked piano hooks. The C&J Delorme remixes I have on a few Zoom 12's are simply astonishing.

Which one of you was the piano player/chord sequencer on your tracks?.

Being the sad bastard I am, Ive spent many an hour working out the hooks on loads of C&J stuff on my keyboard, some of them are pure in keys youd never think went together . Awesome.

Loved the whole vibe of all C&J tracks, housey, chilled, balearic and pumping all at the same time, and as smooth as a babys proverbial.

Tune in, Turn On, make a brew and pull up a pew, lol. Welcome.

Sirius.

Welcome to the board fella...

Correct me if i'm wrong but did you do a remix of the Bladerunner theme tune?

Sure I heared it on Kiss 102 back in 96..

Never heared anyone else play it after that...

Thanks for all the questions guys and gals......I'll try my best to answer them all.
Yes 'beatniks' was a real crossover record - we knocked that up in a couple of days down here in brighton funnily enough. Completely inspired by 'Hardcore Uproar', which to my mind is simply the best rave record of all time..........check out the piano riffs on 'Beatniks' and you'll see what I mean!
We actually did that record for MFF which was a label i was running for Cherry Red, but the first few release had bombed and the guy running the label didn't want to put any more out. We'd had some whites done and I was convinced it was a biggie, so I simply went up to Zoom in Camden and played it to Billy Nasty who I knew from The Pinch at the Gardening Club on a Tuesday which was one of our residencies.
Billy freaked over it, ran to get Dave Wesson and we did a deal on the spot. ZYX later came in for it (Alex Gold funnily enough), as they could see it's potential , but it remained a big underground record rather than the euro hit they saw.
The sample is of course Jack Kerouac from a tape i found in Camden market years before.
I haven't seen shelley since about 1995 when we left The Gardening Club to go to Renaissance , but I did here a whisper she was now married to Fabi Paras...............now he was a incredible DJ- light years ahead of his time.
