Exactly Mart - Neville, Bam Bam & Mickey Lynas were the original Amnesia crew (RIP Mickey) - I still lmao @ Neville on the mic on old tapes heh heh.

From what I understand the current Amnesia crew have shag all to do with the original lads - just using the name & assuming 'ownership' to all previous recordings (which is bollocks anyways coz everyone knows mix tapes are in themselves pirates with no royalties being passed back to the original music artists).

I understand "strong arm tactics" were employed to remove the amnsesia recordings off the website although I'm willing to be corrected on this (lol prolly with a crowbar & a knee-capping )

Anyways bottom line from me is that it's a fooking shame that a guy who has FREELY invested so much time & effort & resource in creating a wicked website to share his knowledge & passion for the scene has been BULLIED into closing it Shame on those involved.

Those Sasha ones are deffo not from Obsession I've heard three of them and also wasn't it Sasha who famously never played for Fantazia/Obsession even tho he was always on the flyers (another money making con of theirs)??? Very professional that I'd have been more worried if they had just kept it to legal waffle instead of a bullshit threat, cos in my experience (reasonably extensive unfortunatly ) when a gorrila like thats gonna jib round ya pad they don't announce their visits beforehand and they DEFO don't announce em in writing. Just hot air, but suppose it did its job cos he pulled the site.

they wouldnt publicly announce summit like that for sure. be idiots too. I dealt with Mickey and co and found them quite straight forward type of guys to be honest. Mickey even introduced me to the guy who reeled of his tapes for him , Met me in the car park at Coventry train station lol. Makes me laff when i hear of copyright on the old rave tapes. The DJs were given tape money in thier wages on the night and that was it.(for most organisations)
To be honest it wouldnt suprise me if someones winding the guy up, easy to do. FFS i could make myself be any promoter and send him a message via the net and he wouldnt have a clue if i were them lol. Man the amount of empty threats that have been dished out over the years is laughable as most of em are done by people who profess to known 'so and so' but really havent a clue. This may of been genuine but on what ive seen and how ive known many of these guys to operate its far to public. He wouldve just got the visit end of, no fuss.If they got ignored then things would be different. Highly unusual for a non profit site to get so much heat from people who certainly wouldnt want it.
