Ibiza

Just got the photos back from The White Isle this year, so it will have to be:

Taja Sevelle - Love Is Contagious (Ben Liebrand remix)

Top tune

Are there any nights over there still worth visiting for the proper stuff (not the bollocks played by the so called superstar DJs..)

May be visiting in September..

You are talking about Ibiza arent you?

Ibiza

@Neil,

this year I attended the opening party for Def@Pacha with D Morales and none other than Frankie Knuckles! It was sublime, but old skool at a minimum. As I remember (:-) Morales mix of 'Was That All It Was' & 'Bang Bang You're Mine' were played from the Old Skool. I'm sure there were others also. Then the follow on @ Space for the opening party with none other than Todd Terry as surprise guest at midnight. Erm... at this point (turning Monday morning) after starting Sat night it gets a bit hazy, but he played all his own old stuff, 'Bounce', 'A Day In The Life' 'Put Your Hands....' 'Make That Move' amongst many others. Bottom line: Ibiza's not like '89, but how could it be? We're not teenagers anymore. But if you're looking for a sublime holiday in a beautiful place with quality music to be found and like-minded people there is STILL nowhere else to go! We hire a villa (sleeps 12 in sheer luxury) this year in the middle of nowhere (nearest villa over a mile but we still got complaints!) it only cost £300 each with 2 cars included. Decks were £150 for the week (someone's making a shit load of money cos they have over a 100 pairs that you have to book in advance). We didn't even go out every night, had barbecues, pool parties, etc. Fuck I've gone on. Was going to delete this but I'm drunk so...

Erm... topical tune for the day #2 is St Etienne - Only Love... (OK it's obvious but so what!)

That sounds quality mate..To be honest I'd struggle to get 12 of my mates to even consider setting foot in Ibiza anymore considering the way its gone.. But youve definitely got the right idea in hiring a villa in the middle of nowhere.. I wouldnt expect much "Old Skool" to be honest, but I wouldnt mind hearing the mellow stuff, not full on piano madness

I havent been since 92, feck me thats 12 years ago Was thinking of popping over (not San Antonio obviously ) for a few days and giving Pacha a visit. Its still the best club Ive ever been to

Just dug out The Blow Monkeys - La Passionara, nice one
