| Well, there's been a few good 'uns mentioned so far, but I've gorra add a couple more to the list... Can't believe no-one's said Led Zeppelin... I mean, everyone knows Stairway to Heaven (which I hate) but there's awesome songs on every Zep album. Fer me best track is Moby Dick off Led Zep II Jimmy Page is guitar God. These lads completely conquered the world... Went mental on all manner of chemicals... Enjoyed a bit of the awld sexual deviancy... Pissed aboot with the occult... and just generally lived the RnR lifestyle to the max. They even managed to top it off with the ultimate Rock n Roll cliche (a band member who medicined himself to death)... Nobody larged it better than yer Zeppelin... RIP Bonzo. To listen to tho me personal faves are the AC/DC. Impossible to pick faves cos every album is a belter, but I'll gan for Rock n Roll Singer off High Voltage album. This lot also ruled the world & had God (Angus Young) on guitar, as well as a member who chemicalled himself to death (Bon Scott, lead singer RIP), but they recruited themselves a top geordie geezer (Brian Johnson) to do the vocals & came back with one of the seminal rock albums Back In Black as a tribute to Bon Scott. Good Work Fellas. Sometimes excessively loud, straightforward, four on the floor blues-based rock music is the only thing which satisfies, and nobody does it better than AC/DC. Top work fellas ![]() |
