If the scratch isn't that bad, I've found if you play the scratched bit backwards a couple or three times, it can sort it.

Try putting a bit of extra weight on your headshell i.e. a penny. That might stop it from jumping.

This sounds pure madness, but apparently if you play it wet, ie soak that particular area of the vinyl so theres globules of water on it, it wont jump. Not long term I know.

As above, more weight on yer headshell will sort it, but be carefull not to leave it *too* heavy cos it will eventually trash your records in.

More options than u can shake the proverbial stick at . The rubber (eraser lol) onesounds intriguing...........

See ya

Sirius.

Dunno if this would remove a scratch - but if you have some vinyl with a lot of surface noise - then it can work for that - good if you want to rip it to MP3 or sample it etc

You could try using a rubber on it but I find mine gets stuck in the hole..................

The backwards one is what I use!
