465. The Story of The Loft - London Express, XFM 10/00

Mancuso and FK spilling the beans about the legendary Loft.

Chuffed to have found this as I only caught the end of it when it was on the radio...!

Page 5..

155. Ron Hardy - Live at C.O.D.'s,Chicago 1980's
Ron mixing up some Deep House in this mix from around 1987 . Maybe we can get some Chicago folks to write in and give us some history on this Club. When did it open ? What Dj's were resident and when did it close. Uploaded 4/22/99

Sounds more like the 70's than 80's to me so far. Class stuff.

Lightbulb Oi Butty...

483. Larry Levan - Live @ Ministry of Sound, UK 1991

519. Tony Humphries - Live KISS FM broadcast from Club Zanzibar, NJ 1992

Both of these sounding good from what `ive heard spec the Levan 1 have a listen.

Good idea on this site cause the owner only puts half the mix up 4 grabs and if u want the rest of the mix u have to send in a good swop, so what u say Butty settin up an OSA version of a similar idea from old mixes from the UK clubs??

An idea anyhow...

I've been going on the DHP since not long after I first got on the Net in '97 & was well chuffed when i found it... gotta be one of the best sites out there!

The Ron Hardy, Levan, Knuckles & Tony Humphries stuff tend to be my favourites The audio is poor quality on some of the stuff but some of it is fine. These Ron Hardy mixes are deffo worth a listen & the audio quality is fine on em + check out the edits of First Choice & Patti Labelle.. tunes don't get any better IMO...
Ron Hardy @ The Muzik Box, 3 April '83 - DHP mix 953
1. Double Exposure 'My Love is Free' (end of)
2. Chi-Lites 'My First Mistake' (Re-Edit)
3. Harold Melvin & The Blue Notes 'Bad Luck' (Re-Edit)
4. Harold Melvin & The Blue Notes 'The Love I Lost' (Re-Edit)
5. Touch Down 'Ease Your Mind'
6. ??? - heavy beat, "Your mind, Your Body" - Ron Hardy track?
7. Powerline 'Journey'
8. First Choice 'Let No Man Put Asunder' (Walter Gibbons Mix) (Re-Edit)
9. Bumble Bee Unlimited 'Everbody Dance'
10. The O'Jays 'I Love Music'

10. The O'Jays 'I Love Music'
11. Loose Joints 'Pop Your Funk'
12. JM Silk 'I can't Turn Around'
13. Sylvester '(You Make Me Feel) Mighty Real'
14. Stephanie Mills 'You Can Get Over'
15. Salsoul Orchestra 'Salsoul 3001' (Intro Only)

19. Virgo 'Under You'

8. 52nd Street 'Can't Afford to Let You Go'
9. Mike T 'Do It Any Way You Wanna'
10. Bumble Bee Unlimited 'Everybody Dance'

10. Bumble Bee Unlimited 'Everybody Dance'
11. Jamie Principle 'Waiting on My Angel'
12. Made in USA 'Melodies'
13. 606 beats
14. ??? - "girls Girls!"
15. 606 beats + jungle dj edit
16. Cerone 'Love in C Minor'
17. Cymande 'Bra' (Danny Krivit Re-edit)

19. Patti LaBelle 'Music is my Way of Life'\'Get Ready (Lookin' For Love)' (Ron Hardy's Back to the Muzik Box Edit)
20. Thelma Houston 'I'm Here Again'

It's funny that this thread has just made this a sticky as I've just started going thru the older stuff I d\l off there years ago... expect to see some stuff in the Tune ID section soon (I've tried the playlist forum on the DHP doolz but never had any responses.. maybe I should try the general section?)

There's a site with tracklistings for a lot of the Ron Hardy mixes... I'll see if I can find it....
