We've all seen them outside Greggs trying to look hard eating pasties.


A - Ankle Tag (free phone-line with every fitting)

B - Bollocks - Many scallies have broken noses, this isn't as one might suspect from fighting or being Rugby tackled outside Comet but from accidentally falling over whilst having both hands firmly tucked around their testicles and thus being unable to protect their face.

C - CS - Community Service (or the non-lethal assault spray), like work but with more fag/smack breaks.

D - "Don't even try/step to me" (tough guy talk)

E - Eminem - The John Lennon of the Reebok Generation.

F - Farm Foods - I swear I'll find a pair of Rockports sticking out of a freezer in there one day.

G - Greggs - Proudly feeding Smack-Rats for over 20 years.

H - Henri Lloyd - Ideal clothing in case you ever need to rob a yacht.

I - "Innit doh?" - Translation: "I say, doesn't it just?"

J - Jumpers - Stripes and plenty of them.

K - Kickers - for those classy nights out dancing to Shakira whilst staring out some completley harmless person.

L - Lambert & Butler - Classic toe-rag cigs

M - Methadone - "Mummy this cough medicine tastes funny?"

N - No Way - as in: Carl - "No way, they're sellin videos for £30 in Cash Converters Darryl". Darryl - "No way".

O - OB i.e. the Old Bill, 5-oh, etc.

P- Pit-Bull - 'look at me, look at me, I've got a scary Dog'

Q - Quincy - AKA the Burglars Alarm clock

R - Rockport - Tan colour, of course.

S - Sovereign - A true symbol of style, you can never wear too many, get em on a chain once you've run out of fingers.

T - Tweedle Dee & Tweedle Dum - Cap wearing style icons for scally duos everywhere.

U - UB40 - Second only to Bob Marley in the scally's limited knowledge of 'Reggae' and most likely to be heard pumping out of a open doorway on a dead sunny day, whilst the kids play with dog-shit and Scania Green cans in the garden.

V - Vauxhall Astra - 'On a Mission' sticker comes as standard.

W - Winnie the Pooh - Socks or Tattoos the choice is yours, just make sure he's being lifted off the ground by a balloon, Tigger and Eyaw are also both acceptable

X - XS (that's the size you want your Trackie bottoms).

Y - 'Yerradickead' - to be said in one syllable.

Z - Zulu Dancing - Ever seen Zulus dancing, the way they jump up and down? Ever seen a Scally about to have a fight? Where's Michael Caine when you need him?
