my xp comp is pissin me off keeps restarting when im using p2p software ANY p2p software ffs
neone else jave this prob

think im gonna have to fuk xp off and gpo back to bloody winme

I've had xp/98se dual boot 4 the last week with no p2p probs, had kazaalite on 4 a few days and soulseek on 4 the last 2 days non stop no probs on xp..

I have no problems generally, occasionally E donkey and Overnet have issues resolving my proxy settings but nothing major.

Check you have the XP firewall off m8, and check you have your proxy settings set to auto detect
(in internet properties/connection tab).

I use XP and P2P software fine and I'm using the built-in firewall... but that only fecks AIM cause its bad shite

Ensure that you have the latest patches installed... use ya windows update thingy-ma-bob... also, check your network card vendors website and make sure you have the latest driver?

try running the exe's in compatibility mode
rmb, properties, last tab i think

You can get the alcatel driver from http://www.speedtouchdsl.com/support.htm


I highly recommend going to the all individual suppliers websites and getting the lastest drivers cause the Windows certification path takes forever.

For example, the windows driver for nvidia from the MS site is soooo out of date.
