| Linkage Can someone help me but telling me how I put a sample of a tune on (for ID's and such like) I is stuck

| I've been talking cod shit... all you need is a tool called goldwave. I use to use it for something else but it only occured to me when I walked into work and saw it on my desktop. Its an uber-sound tool. I've used it in the past to extract DMTF tones from a wav files. You just select where you want to cut the MP3 and save the file... easy as a cake. http://www.goldwave.com/ --- Fug

| Yeah sorry mate, I mean in terms of when asking for an id, I might want to put a link to a sample up so people can listen to it (cos my descriptions leave alot to be desired when it comes to tunes!!)

| man.. I really was talking codshit  Misunderstood what you were after... you need some webspace to put the mp3 sample so everyone can see it. Then just put the link into you message to the board. If you don't have webspace you can put into one of the ID lockers which are not working at the moment cause people foget to sign-out and therefore they get shut down. Check out the TuneID section and the Message about the lockers at the top for an update of when they are back. --- Fug

| Aha, I will read it and take it from there. Cheers m8. The only thing is, can I just put a sample up into the locker or will the full tune upload (Of the Tune id lockers instructions tell me this then ignore me!!!!

| I don't think it really matters... mousemaid, steh or VA would be best to answer but upping a sample just saves you time uploading the whole MP3. The more of the sample you have then easier it may be to ID... but if the tune repeats over and over there's not much sense upping 6Mb when 120Kb would have done  --- Fug
