Help With DAT & VCD Files

I've just downloaded what's meant to be a video from Sequins in 1994. When it's finished it's a zip file and zipped up was 2 seperate folders, one containing a DAT file which is 738mb in size and the other folder has two VCD files in that's 2kb each.
Does anyone have any idea how I can turn this into an avi or mpeg or burn it onto a cd or dvd so I can watch it ???

Tried to burn as image but when I pointed Nero in the direction of the folders it picked nowt up

"dat files are MPEG1 (VCD) files, nothing to do with AVI's. All you need to do is use Isobuster to "Extract but only M2F2 mpeg frames" to your HD and soon you will have an MPG file on your HD"

Came across this might help ya..it might not...wont harm to giv it a bash tho hey ..

Cheers for the replies peeps. I actually solved this pretty much straight away yesterday and forgot to reply to my thread
Someone told me that if I right clicked the dat file and opted to open with windows media player it would work & it did
