chopping the end off a...

how do i get rid of the end of a tune??...there is about 3 minutes at the end of it and i don't know y it's there...the song is about 4:30 long but i've got it as 8 minutes with loads of nothng at the end...i am making no sense

do i need to download anything to do this??

glazzy, I assume you mean an MP3 or WAV?

Use a program like Cool Edit (download it here: http://www.syntrillium.com/download/download.html?1 ).

You can easily edit the start and end points of a track.
