Hi,

I was in the same boat recently, and someone on here recommended Winavi for converting avi files to dvd. You then use Nero to burn the disc itself. It's worked for me! You will probably find torrents for both these files on whatever torrent site you are using (I use Torrentspy.com).

Send a message via MSN to butty
you have most likely downloaded avi's mate which are xvid/divx

you can get a divx player for about 50 quid that would then play em on ya tele or you can convert em or alternatively redownload but look for the ones that are labelled up dvdr and are around a few gig in size

Use VSO`s ConvertXtoDVD,,,,,recodes to dvd and also burns it...found it to be far better than any other recoding/burning software
