myspace help, adding sounds?

Anyone know how to add a track that is your own without having to sign up as a band ?

i've read the FAQ and there doesn't seem to be a way I can see for adding tracks to your page?

Can it be done by linking to an external mp3 file, how does it play in the media player thingy on there?

Any tips welcomed, ta

This is on their FAQ:

How do I add a song from a Myspace artist to my profile? How do I remove it?

Adding a song is easy. Visit Myspace Music (MySpace) and find a song you want to add. If the artist has given permission to share the music, you'll see an "Add" link next to the song. Click "Add" and the song will play on your profile! Only one song can be added to your profile at one time.

If you want to change songs, simply find another song and click "Add."

To remove the song, go to Home >> Edit Profile >> Profile Songs and click "Delete."

That's all well if you want a track from the lists on there, but what about wanting to put up your own stuff?

MySpace MP3 Player - Flash MP3 Players

I used this on My myspace page, you can choose from various players, each will take upto 10 songs i think.

You have to upload the files to some webspace though.

I just added the code it gave me at the end, and up popped a music player on the page.
