what webspace can i use to upload my mixes

Hi Folks,

It appears the webspace i keep using (Esnips) is not suitable for OSA, so what other Webspace can anyone recommend (Except going gold) can't afford to go gold at the moment.

Any help would be most appreciated .

eh up mate, check with ya isp (whoever ya get ya internet access with as they sometimes give some webspace with ya account) thats 24/7 permanent webspace so would be cool

just started using mediafire seems ok. Used to use sendspace but mediafire is better

mediafire sposedly has unlimited life on uploaded files...so does that mean it can be used on here to upload mixes???

ive just checked there terms of service and it says

How long will my uploaded files be stored on MediaFire?

There is currently no time limit on the storage of uploaded files. In the future, if it becomes necessary to remove any files, we will notify you in advance at the e-mail address that you used to register for a free account. Any files removed would be on an as-needed basis and would apply to older and less frequently downloaded files first.

As its out of the posters control as and when the file will be removed i wouldnt class that as permanent webspace

whats esnips bud can ya forward me a link?

basically all the hosting solutions like mediafire, yousendit, megaupload etc aint permanent webspace like ya get from ya isp or ya may have already as there uploading services.

we need the link to be on stable permanent webspace as we have found from past experience that keeping on top of dead links etc caused by these places is a ballache

Hi Butty, is this rule for the 'member dj mixes' section only because as you probably already know there are a ton of dead links on the file sharing section, some of them being offline after only a couple of days (which doesnt make sense to me as most upload sites give you at least a week). I take it these dont have to be hosted permanently

nope the file sharing bit can have temp upload sites, that bit is used as a 'trading pot' if you like jus for peeps to put up mixes they choose for others to get,

the member dj mixes bit we like all links to be live and active and the only way to achieve that is not to go with one of them hosting sites
