Gig Flyer design

I went for a quick lunchtime pint yesterday to a pub that I hadn't visited for ages.
Anyway its just been taken over and the landlord mentioned that he was gonna be doing a night that features local DJ's, of course i then got stuck right in there and offered my services.

The plan is an old skool night every couple of weeks or something but back to my point, is there anyone here that could help me with the design of a flyer once this thing comes up?
