technics 1200 mixer

I need 2 put in a new crossfader and im struggling with it.

I can unscrew the old one and all that its just the fucking wire which is attached dont seem to wanna come off, im worried if i try raggin itr out i'll end up wiv a busted mixer.

please help, I need to do some scratchin practice to wind up the neighbours!!

most of these little connector type things never want to come off so dont be afraid to give it a good tug(oooeerr). also on some of them they have a little tooth thing which locks it, you have to try and prise it open as you pull
