how to burn mpga file to cd

hi guys wonder if anyone can help. im trying to burn an mpga file onto disc, to play in the car, but i cant seem to do it i have nero but it does not recognise the file. it seems to be able to do it on windows media player but the file i want to burn is 82min long and wont fit on cd. i was gonna use polderbits sound editor to knock 3 min of the mix, but polderbits wont recognise an mpga file either... any help would be much appreciated.

cheers pablo, i have had a look at this but still cant seem to sort it i have found a way round it but its a pain in the ass. i am having to use polderbits sound editor, i load the song or mix into polderbits then either with or without editing it, i save it as mp3 but im sure there must be an easier way... my problem is i use i tunes to listen to my music and nero if i wanna burn anything. but neither of these recognise mpga files i might have to try update them both .. it would be far easier if the file im downloading, downloaded as mp3, but for some reason anything i download, has recently started downloading as mpga...i cant suss out why i read on the net that its something to do with real player, so i have tried uninstalling real player and the files still download as mpga... any ideas guys...please.
