Attention Osa Admins - Urgent: Club Site Hackers On The Loose!!

Hi guys, just a quick post for you - there have been subsequent hacking attempts on various club websites - resulting in them being removed, or deleted from various servers..

We havent been hit yet, however three of my friends have - a lot of which have forums similar to this one.

Please be aware of this problem, so start backing your work up!!

its fine. lots of places r gettin got at the mo due to security holes in a couple of things. from what i gather it aint jus clubbin sites. weve not had nowt destructive happen on here, although i feel for those who have.

we have backups on and off server every night so if worse cam to the worse it wouldnt b all that bad.

i dont under stand, what does it mean if osa gets hacked??

do they do it for fun and fuck the site up or is it more worse than that?

when sites get hacked they tend to do it jus so they can show they got in like. the worst that happend to us was that the front page got changed. so it isnt too much of a effort. it does help in a sense as it points out vulnerabilities in software etc and u can get em sorted. if i didnt know about the problem then the potential was there for others to come in n cause more damage

this is the first time anyones got in since i started up osa and it was a security hole in the live chat thang. the forum software is secure as hell and so now ive got rid of the chat thang i doubt anyone will b able to get in for a long time to come (i dont want anyone to prove me otherwise tho )
