New PC!!!!

Looking to buy a new pc in the near future but I'm not really up to speed on latest stuff etc.

Basically the pc will be for general microsoft office usage. Also recording and digitising my tunes and burning discs etc. However, probably the most intensive thing I will want to do is upload and edit my digi camcorder footage - about 2/3 hours at a time max and then burning to DVD etc.

Anyone any ideas about what spec system I should be going for? Presumably quite high as video footage eats memory doesn;t it???

Thanks in advance
