cant help on the mix vibes thing as I use traktor but some peeps on here just helped me out with the same sort of question - you need to make sure you have your rear channels activated and use the rear channels for the monitoring and cueing allowing the front channels for the usual output sound. There should be some options allowing you to change the settings in mix vibes tho to allow this?

what d'ya reckon to traktor? i've downloaded it and couldn't seem to get on with it. with mixvibes it seems you get the feel more like they are real decks you can bend the pitch so you can keep the tracks more in time. haven't really had a good go with traktor tho

The only other software I have had a chance to tinker with apart from traktor was the earlier versions of visiosonic djpc red edition and I thought that was a load of pap. kept locking up and crashing.
Its what suits the individual at the end of the day.

Ive an audigy 2, so in your creative task bar for the live software there should be "Speaker set up" option yours at the moment is probably set to 2.1 just change it to 5.1 and bobs your uncle. Go into mix vibes somewhere there should be audio setup just change the settings for the montor/cueing channel to rear speakers (if you have rear speakers, remove the jack from your soundcard and plug the phones in there mate )
