need free webspace

can anyone please advice. I know about ftp-ing and all sorts of protocol but am having great difficulty finding a reliable FREE web space provider. i need to upload about 40 megs and am getting really slow (mostly nothing at all) transfer rates even though I'm on adsl and have very fast download times. this is driving me mad and i want you guys to hear some of our come together nights

I have jsut registered my own domain

As soon as I have the static IP for my connections I will email you then I can pop it onto my site ( limite 20 GB!) then you will be able to have that file there.

In the mean time if you register with tripod or something like that then you will be able to break it up under winzip and store then on there so that peeps can download it and unzip them

Sorryzzz I don't have any other ideas m8, but that's the best I can do at the moment....

Actually I have just checked and they are offering 50 MB of free space

go through lycos...it's still tripod but you start with 100 MB (you can ask for more at no extra cost) and there software is excellent...web ftp etc although for files over 2 meg you need a seperate ftp client..cute or smart ftp etc..


doh...just had a look and it is indeed now 50mb...only got mine a month ago, they must have changed it since...anyway nothing stopping you signing up for a few accounts..
