Putting Movies on Disk Formats

Right i`ve been getting some of these movies from the torrents and have basically figured out that the 1`s with the .cue and .bin files can be burned ok and watched when burnt on cd and played on my dvd/vcd player.

What about the .avi files? Is there no way to watch these apart from on a divx player? Is there not a converter or is this process a bit long and painfull if at all poss.

Any other ideas or tips from ppl most welcome.

Cheers.

I used to do alot of films, an it was a bit of a ball ache convertin 'em (changing framerates, splitting the audio etc) but I'm pretty sure that ya can get programmes like nero an such that will convert ya .avi and burn it on a dvd in a few clicks now.

Look on www.vcdhelp.com

Tells you everything u need to know; converting, conpatability, problems, best burners, media etc... Good luck

Agree with Andy, Winavi is a good 'un, also mainconcept convertor is good n fast.

I got sick to death of converting 'em tho so bought a DVD player that plays .avi, best bit of coin I've spent for a while, was only 50 notes or somat, I've prob saved that in DVD's an CD's already, cos ya can fit loads on.

Bout 5 or 6 films on one DVD.

I got the full series of Lost (25 episodes + Special episode) on 2 DVD's
