| Problem with tape ok so im sure many of you will have had the same kind of problem in the past, now im looking for a newskool fix. I have a tape that i got around 1994, well the original itself must have somehow got screwed up and the thing after about 15mins or so plays backwards the rest of the tape. same on the other side also. well whoever i got the tape from recorded the tape like this so I dont have a splice in my tape (unlike a few of mine ) Well Im wondering if i rip the tape to my PC is there a piece of software that can play audio backwards, so that i can re-record it, as In all these years Ive yet to hear the full, tape and I just stumbled across it again tonight?I know that sound recorder that comes with windows will play stuff backwards but it will only record 1min of sound any help would be great stephen

| yeah any main audio editor like wavelab or soundforge and goldwave will do it - just fire up the program, load the WAV/MP3 in highlight the waveform for the bit thats reversed and go to something like process and there should be a reverse option around - have done it in Wavelab before |
