Outpost Firewall

Just downloaded from the link above - having severe problems with running it. Even though in program control programs like IE are "allowed" but however are still blocking my internet connection. Even checked to see if the windows one is turned off which it is - any ideas whats a going on?

see if you can ping anything and do a tracert to www.google.com or something from the command prompt to see if you can get out.....then you find out whether its blocking browsing or full internet access

have you tried turning it off?

Well the tracert will work by the sounds of it, ive had it loads of times with norton internet security just being a twat and blocking access to sites.

Id check the options, there might be something about active x or something like that that is stopping your homepage from even getting as far as loading.

Bin the firewall and use XP's, does the same job as every other one out there - closes ports & opens em lol

Norton

I've got this same problem with Norton, even though I have gone in and allowed sites if the firewall is enabled, it blocks all internet access, it's driving me round the bend now
