dvd creating help

trying for the first time to do this so please explain as if im a retread!

I got a 4 dvd box set each contaning 2 episodes of a program.
I want to have all episodes either on one or two discs using dvd shrink if needed.
Tried dvdshrink re author but when i eject the first disc it says all info from first disk will be deleted.
Can subfolders be created inside the video_ts folders for each episode (as i think each disk uses the same file names i think )-fuck im useless as this lark so could someone please explain what to do??

Andy

Na mate, you'll not do that with DVD Shrink. You'll need some real DVD authoring software - something like TMPGEnc will probably do.

This site has shit loads of info, check it out.

Sounds like the easiest solution bud - is the conversion actually lossless from vob to avi and back?

I doubt it mate. A 700Mb Divx file will grow to around 4 to 8 Gig when you convert it to DVD Video.

To be honest, if you're wanting to put the whole of a dual layer disc (9Gb) onto a single layer (4,5Gb) disc, then the resulting quality will be pretty gash. I managed to join together the whole of Schindlers List and stuck it on one disc, and it tuned out to be as blocky as a big block of council flats in the middle of Blockshire.

I'd just stick to 1 episode per disc.
