Cool Edit keeps crashing

Every time I open a file in Cool Edit Pro it crashes. I've uninstalled it and re-installed it and I'm still having the same problem. Has this ever happened to anyone else, coz it's really fecking annoying and I've got stuff I need to do.

About 6 million lines of numbers. Seriously.

When you try and load a file, it shows the bar going up as it's scanning it then when it gets to the end it just says "Cool Edit has encountered an error and needs to close." But if you cancel the loading, it displays the partial file as normal.

I think I had this once a few years back, sorry though, I cant remember what I did to fix it. may just be a case of reinstalling it over the top. Maybe Peter Quistgard will have an idea whats wrong......lol, he owns about 2 million copies of it afterall.

I think Ive got Adobe Audition rar somewhere if you want to update the cooldedit to its new reincarnation.

Sirius.
