Photoshop 7 Keeps Bombing Out Just before fully loaded

Has anyone had this problem?

I load Photoshop 7 up and just when it looks like its loaded everything up it goes off with no error msg or nowt

Im thinking it's a piracy protection thing possibly

Ive tried uninstalling it and cleaning the reg and rebooting then re-installing but im gettin the same result - can anyone help?

I'm guessing here, but did it at all 'phone home' ?

Some software if it isn't legit, when it communicates with it's site "goes all fucky" < technical term.

Sound Forge used to do this unless you blocked it connecting to the web with a firewall.

well i never got a warning from me firewall so i dunno unless its done it on the sly

not sure but theres no way i can get it working again hope i dont have to reformat my hard drive like

Im gonna try downloading photoshop 8 first and see if i can get that workin

the warez rel's of cs defo work mate i use one at work

downloaded one version of Photoshop 8 CS and the serial that came with it had expired! - just downloadin another one now

ive never had this prob, so ur best just gettin another version like u are doin. not sure but cud be an error or a corrupt version, so its best just gettin rid.

It's dead mad tho like coz It has workied for about a year now with no probz and from today it wouldnt even start! - Hope I don't have to reformat me comp!

hmmmmm.........strange! i cant see u avin to format ur pc thou. i no u'v prolly already done it but just uninstall everythin n start again, as u prob already no!

Unless... (im prolly gonna sound dead stupid now but...) are u sure it aint coz the program is so big that it wont load up coz u aint got enough memory free??

I htink Ive just sussed it!

I went on that astalavista.box.sk and there is a warez site on there that had a list of Blacklisted serial numbers and I just checked it against mine and it matched one of em - i reckon its got me sussed for havin a blag copy! Bugger! They must have clamped down on loads of dodgy serials knockin about
