CCTV help

After an attempted break-in and one of my housemates cars getting broken into, I'm thinking of getting CCTV sorted out.

What I have in mind is two cameras and some kind of 30 second switcher, and then link them to a video on long play, record for 8 hours, stick it on at midnight and jobs a good-un.

Anyone got any experience of what works best, makes/models etc and general CCTV advice, so that I don't get stitched up with shit images etc!

Any help appreciated

No point mate, I don't watch any telly!

And it's for when we're asleep, as that's the times when things are happening like..

a friend of mine has a small camera mounted on the front of his house that you can hardly see, it feeds into his pc where he can have like a small window in the bottom corner showing the images, which are very clear, also has sound, and can also record it to his hard drive, not sure how much he paid for it but it woulda been cheap as he's a reet pennypincher, he got it from bowlers so if they had that im sure they would have other options you could look at mate

Scott - this is what i do for a living matey so we'll have a chat and get it sorted for ya. Theres allsorts you can do but if you just want a camera overlooking a part of the house its no problem. You need to consider lighting though as cameras are no good in the dark or you could for a camera with an infrared light but then they cost more. I'm out all day tomoz and movin house on friday and my mobiles not workin at the min....!!! so pm us if you want some more info.

Sully.
