Have tried that hun, but it wont let me, tells me an error message. Honest it is like everything has been taken off, wont let me access anything at all.

right......... myk's seen the thread, says ur system folder is buggered, n even if u get the files that it says r needed ull still keep getting 1ks of more error msgs. he says ur gonna have to reinstall windows. he recons the problem cud have been caused by a virus or just that ur HDD is fucked. in which case even reinstalling windows wont solve the problem, but thats wot he say u shud do.

Thanks Nemesis, I have tried to reinstall windows and it was a no go, so it looks like it's off to the shop. Just pissed off about mp3's and stuff it is my own fault. Thanks for everyone help.

Would be an idea to partition your hard drive if you get a new one, and place all your mp3's on your non windows drive, this way, anything happens with windows again, you dont lose a single mp3.

hey pw

try to use your fooked drive as a slave drive then at least you can see what files are on it and try and salvage something cos even if your system files are shafted at least the non windows files will not be.

Also could you not get through using the windows in repair mode (r on windows disk log in)

log onto partition 1 and type chkdsk /p

let that finish then type fixboot

then try n reboot

if not then i agree with myk new drive n windows

if the fooked drive music files are salvagable with it being a slave then back them up on cdr asap!!!!
