Some 1 Please Help Me!!!

ive just got this hi-fi, the problem is i cant record on the tape deck! the record button is rock solid it wont press down please some 1 tell what im doin wrong!!! i know its something simple but i just cant figure it out!!! (yes im stooopid!) cheers!

You tryin to record on a tape that has had its protective tabs removed by any chance cus if thats the case the record button wont budge....lol.....if so stick a bit tape over the were the tabs should be.....

As NS said, it sounds like the tape is record protected.

Yup, bit of scellotape over the hols at the top of the tape or fill them with some tissue,

Alternatively look in the cassette casing in the HIFI and you might find that the little plastic jobby has snapped off that goes above the little holes in the cassette, if this is broke then it wont matter if the holes are covered in the cassette or not, youll need sort that out

Also, sometimes, you have to press the play and record button down on the deck your recording from.
