is this a virus??

I think i've downloaded a dialler that kicks out my internet connection now and again and attempts to call a premium rate server (XXXServer)
As soon as it pops on screen i pull the plug but i want rid of it, i've downloaded spybot but that hasnt worked, and i downloaded AVG Virus software. that picked up a Trojan Horse Virus on my PC, which i thought was the dialler but its happened since so it cant have been

anyone have an idea of what i can do next

If it turns out to be one of them right annoying tw@ts that you can't delete, just quarrentine it with your antivirus software and then you can delete it from the quarrentine folder.

Not that I've had to do that or anything.

I'd highly recomend Adaware, Spybot Search & Destroy, and Spyware Blaster. They're all free, and make sure you update them once they're installed.

if you've got a decent anti virus progrma running does that not flash up when it tries to dieal? have a look at the deatilas and look at the address for where it is on your pc, then git rid of the fekker.

LoL, Who has been looking at porn sites then

If it is a dialer you will normally find it in your dial-up / Network connections.

if you are using XP go to Control Panel >> Network Connections

If you see dial-up / network connection that is not one you have created then delete it.

Hopefully this should solve your problems.

Or do a system search on the file name ie 'xxxhotdialup' or whatever it is called. You may be able to locate it and delete it.

Good luck
