I like it fella. It's got 3 options that you can switch as you need that are

1.Restrictive mode (for when youre doing dirty net crawling, blocks nearly all ports).
2.Passive mode (which allows almost all ports for when using download managers etc or LAN).
3.Rule selection mode (defaults to this, and asks you what you want to allow each time a port is accessed).

I don't know if youll prefer it to Sygate but as I said I like it a lot and it was recently voted nº2 in an independant survey in which some of the other firewalls were'nt even free so it's pretty good technically speaking also.

You can configure it not to ask but to allow most ports (passive mode) or block most ports (restricted mode) depending on your needs at any given time. Personally I like it asking me but you really need to know exactly what has to have permission and what not for it to be effective in the "ask mode".

I presume the exe it's asking you about is SVCHOST and you should allow this to have internet access or you will not be able to surf at all.
