Is it possible?...... MKII - Sirius

Following on from Danny's question in the other post:

1) Is there a way to get a full quality stereo broadcast of Radio1 over the net (live)?

2) Is there a program which you can set to record that station in Cooledit or whatever, like a HiFi 'Timer Record' function. Id want to set the fictional program up, leave my machine on, and it turns on the right radio station on winamp or whetever at an allocated time and loads up a new file in a recorder program and records for 2 hours. When the two hours is up, it wants to stop and convert to mp3 ready for morning!

I think ::TheOne:: knows how to do this......and if not why dont you write a program to do it!!!!!! lol.

If anyone has any ideas how this is possible Id be chuffed.

I had to stay up till 2.00 to manually press record on my hifi on saturday cos although I have had my TEAC unit for about two years I have never mastered the bloody Timer Record.......I can set the time, station, etc etc.....it turns on but just stays on automatic pause untill you press which side of the tape you should be recording on!!!! Whats the point of that? You have to set your alarm and get up bleary eyed to press the forward button!!! lol.

I know theres that website that gets them from thier user base, but Id like to do it direct to my Hard Disk .

Ta

Sirius.

I know you asked for 'over the net'

Don't think it's possible, not at a decent quality anyhow.

What about using an NTL/Sky box, take the phono out's from that and stick that into your pc, leave Soundforge recording, as long as you have enough drive space you'll be fine, then just edit it, chop out the before/after bits.

Buy a cheapo TV/Radio capture card for the PC (about 25-30 notes) and use soundforge
