Angry god dammit

the other day i updated my 'internet explorer' because i couldnt access a site with out the new version (think it was internet explorer 6) .... as it turned out i still couldnt see the site anyways .... now i cant even see a load of sites which i always went on before for example, www.ebay.co.uk and www.tribalgathering.co.uk will not load up, nor will a few others .... i want to go back to my old settings, or at least have settings that work ...

any help much appreciated ....

arrrrr i'm havin ebay withdrawal symtons

i aint saying this is gonna work but it worked on a forum i use and we have got explorer 6...
this is a bit i copied from the forum...u have to get the IP address of the site u can't get on...

Windows XP comes with Internet Explorer 6, which needs this setting amending. Go to the Tools menu at the top of this screen and select Internet Options. Then select the tab at the top that says Privacy and click on the Edit button. Enter the IP address (how u find this i don't have a clue) in the text box titled Address of Website and then click allow. Now click OK twice to close all the screens and it should be fine.

this is only a suggestion cos i don't have a clue wot i'm talking about but it did work for me use this advice at ur own risk i will not be held responsible

If youre using XP fella why not just restore the OS to the day before you updated

yeah should have a system restore option andy, as myk said just restore it to a previous date that should sort it out

have you tried going into add remove programs and uninstalling the update?
